On December 5, Kep1er’s agency announced through the group’s official fan cafe that Chinese member Xiaoting will temporarily step back from group activities to focus on her individual activities in China.
The agencies stated, “Following thorough discussions with Xiaoting’s original agency in November, it was decided that she will engage in more personal activities in China starting in December.”
They further explained, “As a result, Xiaoting will not be able to participate in Kep1er’s scheduled activities for the time being. We kindly ask for fans’ understanding.”
However, fans of Xiaoting have expressed anger and accused the agency of lying, pointing out that Xiaoting’s Chinese agency, TOPCLASS, included conflicting details.
In particular, TOPCLASS previously said, “Xiaoting’s personal schedules are confirmed in advance after full communication with the Korean side, and the current situation in Korea is more complicated, and the safety and health of artists are our first considerations. Therefore, it is not due to individual activities in China that makes her can’t attend fansign.”

“We are willing to make adjustments for Xiaoting’s participation in the group activities as much as possible, and cooperate fully”, the agency also added.
On top of that, it is known that previously on December 4, Xiaoting published a story of the character Pinnochio with a long nose, suggesting that somebody was lying, before immediately deleting the story.
Following the announcement of group activity halting, Xiaoting also published a message to apologize to fans, asking for fans to wait for her.
“You are gonna wait for me, right? My heart will always be with Kep1er and I will always be with Kep1ian so don’t worry”, she wrote.
Fans, who became aware of Xiaoting’s feelings and the stark difference between the two agencies’ statements, are now casting suspicions and demanding for the truth.
